This class takes off from where the Basic Handgun Safety Course ended. This course will consist of approximately one-hour of classroom and seven hours training on the range. Each student will shoot a minimum of 300 rounds from their handgun. The focus of this course is on using a handgun for self-defense. This is more than a "shooting" course; it is a "survival" course as students will learn how to use a defensive handgun in a life-or-death emergency situation from instructors who have
"been there, done that!". You'll be introduced into the triad of self-defense including proper tactics, developing defensive mindset and improving marksmanship.

Regardless of your experience, your marksmanship and gun handling skills will improve! You'll also begin to understand the importance of safety and tactics in defending your family. You will have several opportunities, throughout the day, to shoot a Law Enforcement 25 round, 10 yard Police Qualification Course of Fire.

NOTE: Regardless of weather conditions we will train and shoot outdoors. We do have an enclosed area to store gear and to get out of the inclement weather during breaks. Please dress appropriately for the weather!
